Last updated: June 6, 2026
In short: These terms govern your use of the Karim for Supreme Court website. By using the site, you agree to them, so please read them carefully.
These Terms & Conditions (the “Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Karim for Supreme Court website (the “Site”). By accessing or using the Site, you agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
1. About This Site
This Site is operated by Karim for Supreme Court (the “Campaign”). It provides information about the campaign and the candidate and offers ways to get involved. Content on the Site is for general informational purposes only and is not legal advice.
2. Eligibility and Contributions
Contributions are made through our third-party donation provider and are subject to that provider’s terms, to applicable Washington State law, and to Public Disclosure Commission (PDC) rules.
By contributing, you represent that, among other requirements:
- You are a U.S. citizen or a lawfully admitted permanent resident (green-card holder).
- The contribution is made from your own funds and not those of another person.
- You are not a foreign national.
- The contribution is made on a personal card or account, not a corporate or business account, except as permitted by law.
Contributions are not tax-deductible. Contribution limits and refund requests are governed by applicable law and the donation provider’s policies; contact us with any refund questions.
3. Acceptable Use
You agree to use the Site lawfully, and not to:
- Violate any law or these Terms.
- Interfere with or disrupt the Site or its security.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any system or data.
- Use bots, scrapers, or other automated means except as expressly permitted.
- Upload viruses or malicious code.
- Harass, threaten, or impersonate others.
- Use the Site to send spam or unauthorized advertising.
4. User Submissions
When you submit information or content to us — for example, through a form or message — you grant the Campaign a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use it for campaign purposes consistent with our Privacy Policy. Do not submit content you do not have the right to share. We may remove content or restrict access at our discretion.
5. Text Messaging
If you opt in to text messages, you agree to receive recurring automated messages from the Campaign at the number you provide. Message and data rates may apply, and frequency varies. Reply STOP to cancel or HELP for help. Consent is not a condition of contributing or volunteering.
6. Intellectual Property
The Site and its content — including text, graphics, logos, images, and design — are owned by or licensed to the Campaign and are protected by intellectual-property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our prior written permission, except for personal, non-commercial use or as otherwise allowed by law.
7. Third-Party Links and Services
The Site may link to or rely on third-party websites and services, including our donation platform and social media. We do not control and are not responsible for their content, products, or practices. Your use of them is at your own risk and subject to their terms.
8. Disclaimers
The Site is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, or that any information on it is complete or current.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Campaign and its volunteers, staff, and vendors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, use, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Site. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Site will not exceed one hundred U.S. dollars ($100).
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Campaign and its volunteers, staff, and vendors from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from your use of the Site or your violation of these Terms.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute relating to the Site or these Terms will be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Washington, and you consent to their jurisdiction.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated version here and revise the “Last updated” date above. Your continued use of the Site after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
